1. Shell design

1. The battery casing should have sufficient mechanical strength to ensure that the internal cells are protected from mechanical damage;

2. There should be no sharp corners in the part where the battery is installed in the shell;

3. The space inside the shell should be enough for the battery core to be placed, and the battery core should not be squeezed out of shape.

2. Protection circuit design

1. The limit voltage of overcharge should be less than 4.25V (single cell);

2. The limit voltage of over-discharge should be greater than 2.50V (single cell);

3. The protection circuit should have over-current and short-circuit protection functions;

4. For the connection design with the battery cell, please consider not to stress the tabs during assembly or use to avoid damage to the tabs of the battery core.

3. Precautions for assembly of battery core and shell

(1) The connection of the battery

1. It is recommended to use ultrasonic welding or spot welding technology to connect the battery core and the protection circuit module or other parts;

2. The temperature of the soldering iron is controllable and anti-static;

3. The temperature of the soldering iron cannot exceed 320℃;

4. The soldering time cannot exceed 3 seconds;

5. The number of soldering can not exceed 5 times;

6. The secondary welding must be performed after the tab metal sheet has cooled;

7. It is forbidden to directly heat the battery cell, it will cause damage to the battery cell if it is higher than 60℃;

8. It is forbidden to simultaneously pull and weld the positive and negative poles to avoid short-circuiting and damaging the batteries.

(Two), the installation of the battery

1. The wide surface of the battery core should be installed in the shell;

2. There should be no burrs and sharp corners at the position where the battery is installed;

3. The battery core cannot move in the shell.

4. Do not pull the positive and negative poles too tightly.

5. During the assembling process, there should be no to-and-fro twisting of the battery cell's tabs. If necessary, please do not exceed twice. And don’t pull. In order to prevent the battery cell tabs from being pulled off.

6. After assembling, check that there is no debris in the position of the battery cell inside the shell.

4. Special reminder:

When not in use for a long time, keep the battery in a half-charged state (half charge), that is, don't fully charge, and don't run out of charge. And recharge it after 2-3 months, and use half of the power, and then store the battery in a place away from direct sunlight and a cool and dry place, so that the battery can be effectively protected from damage for a long time. It is best to store it at 25℃±5℃ and the relative humidity is 45%-75%HR. Environment.
